Volunteers bring a wealth of professional experience, new ideas and energy to our programs, special events and organization as a whole. Volunteers are also critical KidSafe ambassadors in the community, building awareness of the need for our programs and galvanizing others into action.
KidSafe is looking for volunteers who:
- are committed to the vision of KidSafe
- are at least 15 years old (depending on the role, age requirements may be higher)
- are willing to submit to a criminal record check
- can provide two character references
- have skills aligned with our programming and committee needs.

Break Program Volunteers
KidSafe’s next Break Program will be in session this summer, from July 4 – August 25 (weekdays). All interested candidates must complete this application form and email it to Helen Schikkerling at email@example.com along with a resume and cover letter.
Break Program Volunteer Roles:
Food Coordinator Assistant: Help KidSafe’s Food Coordinator prepare, cook, clean and serve a full day of nutritious meals and snacks to the children in our programs. Volunteer shifts for this role are 7:30am – 2:30pm.
Activity Leader Assistant: Help KidSafe’s Activity Leaders run fun and educational activities for our children, in 5 subjects: Science & Nature, Health & Wellness, Leadership, Literacy, and Arts & Culture! Volunteer shifts for this role are 8:30am – 3pm.
Break Program Photographer: Capture our on-site and activities and field-trips on film! Photography experience required. Volunteer shifts for this role are flexible.
