Volunteers bring a wealth of professional experience, new ideas and energy to our programs, special events and organization as a whole. Volunteers are also critical KidSafe ambassadors in the community, building awareness of the need for our programs and galvanizing others into action.

KidSafe is looking for volunteers who:

  • are committed to the vision of KidSafe
  • are at least 15 years old (depending on the role, age requirements may be higher)
  • are willing to submit to a criminal record check
  • can provide two character references
  • have skills aligned with our programming and committee needs.


Strategic Committee members

Professional volunteers contribute in the areas of Program Strategy, Fundraising, Marketing & Communications, Finance, Human Resources and Golf Tournament Planning. For more information on KidSafe’s Strategic Committees, please contact or phone 604-713-4467.

Break Program Volunteers

KidSafe’s next Break Program will be in session this Spring, from March 19, 2018- March 29, 2018 (weekdays & closed Friday March 30, 2018). All interested candidates must complete this application form and email it to Jack Waldie at along with a resume and cover letter.

Break Program Volunteer Roles:

Food Coordinator Assistant: Help KidSafe’s Food Coordinator prepare, cook, clean and serve a full day of nutritious meals and snacks to the children in our programs. Volunteer shifts for this role are 7:30am – 2:30pm.

Activity Leader Assistant: Help KidSafe’s Activity Leaders run fun and educational activities for our children, in 5 subjects: Science & Nature, Health & Wellness, Leadership, Literacy, and Arts & Culture! Volunteer shifts for this role are 8:30am – 3pm.

Break Program Photographer: Capture our on-site and activities and field-trips on film! Photography experience required. Volunteer shifts for this role are flexible.
