For one in five children living in poverty in British Columbia, the holiday season’s joy and prosperity is often out of reach. As more than 167,000 children face exacerbated hunger and instability over winter break, KidSafe will work to improve the season for more than 340 inspiring Vancouver children.
From December 19 – 30, KidSafe will keep five elementary schools open for our 23rd annual Winter Break Program. Over the course of the two-weeks, KidSafe will provide over 19,000 total hours of safety, support, and programming and over 4,700 nutritious meals to the children in our care. Activities and field-trips will be offered in KidSafe’s five educational program pillars, and will include a special ice-skating party with a visit from Santa himself!
KidSafe relies on the support of community members like you to make our programs possible. Donate now and help make it a happy, healthy holiday for 340 inspiring Vancouver children!
