Serving nearly 400 children annually, KidSafe runs without cost to families thanks to the generosity of donors who want to make an impact in their community. Every dollar you donate is critical, and the need continues to grow.
All of the funds KidSafe raises go toward the provision of healthy meals, creation of additional outreach program spaces, maintenance and development of programs, and mentor and peer support systems for children and families.
The economic recession has made fundraising tough, and BC continues to have the highest child poverty rate in the country. More than 26% of children and youth under 18 years of age in Greater Vancouver live in households with incomes below the poverty line. These are the children who not only face the greatest risk of getting their lives derailed at an early age, but are the ones that given the right opportunities can grow into our great leaders and champions of tomorrow.
