My biggest highlight would be talking to a parent for two weeks everyday and convincing them to send their two daughters to Camp Potlatch and what an amazing experience it would be for them. It involved me giving them my cell phone number in case they needed to get ahold of me at camp and well as my reassuring them that i would be in the cabin with their daughters during the week. On the day of us leaving for camp, the parents as well as the daughters cried considering its the first time they will be parted for a whole week, however if these girls didn't go to camp, they would be stuck at their family's store till 10pm everynight stocking produces, etc. When these girls got to camp, they totally broke out of their shells and challenged themselves to activities they would never had the chance to do. It was amazing to see these girls give it their all be get awarded with their "myka" necklace at the end with the tokens that they did.
Another highlight is that when one of my kidsafe kids found out we were going to Splashdown, he cried, and cried. He told me that he was so happy, because if it wasn't for KidSafe this summer, he wouldn't be having fun or the opportunities KidSafe provided and that he also has never been to Splashdown.
