Spring break is traditionally a time for families to get away together and for children to enjoy all the city has to offer. For at-risk children living in the inner city, Spring Break may not be those things but it is KidSafe! 275 children from 6 inner city schools are identified by their teachers and school staff to come and participate in KidSafe’s two week program. The children receive a hot breakfast, lunch, full snack, and fun on site activities that promote learning through our five program pillars.
“I learned that I can go anywhere I want as long as I want to explore.”
Peter, age 9, Spring Program Participant
