Summer Program is a huge and important part of our program year at KidSafe. The activity staff teams spend 8 full weeks working with 300 children from six sites in a fun day camp like setting. What makes KidSafe different fro m other summer day camps is not only our amazing participants and highly trained staff but the focus we have on providing the children in our care with amazing program experiences that they would not otherwise have access to because of the barriers they face.
KidSafe’s pre-teens participate in the Coast Capital Summer Leadership Program focusing on engaging participants through challenging out-trips and adventures such as Kayaking and Mountain Biking.
They attend on site workshops to help prepare them for high school. Through this program youth learn to give back and mentor the children in the KidSafe program through activities such as the annual KidSafe Sports Day.
