KidSafe (The KidSafe Project Society: Registered Charity No: 89026 6349 RR0001) recently celebrated its 30th anniversary, honouring three decades of break time and after-school programs/supports to thousands of deserving kids and families in Vancouver Schools.  Unfortunately, the past few years, and particularly those following the pandemic, led to some challenges from a sustainability perspective. After very careful consideration, the difficult decision was made to wind-up the Society.  Prior to making the final decision, KidSafe explored ways to ensure that the incredible work could continue. 

Through that, KidSafe approached BGC South Coast BC (formerly Boys and Girls Clubs) who are a trusted, long-time service partner of KidSafe, to step in where KidSafe left off, to ensure the children KidSafe would have served would receive the out of school programs and supports they need.  KidSafe is pleased to share that BGC South Coast BC launched their programs during school breaks, and in the after school hours beginning in Winter Break 2024.
